Countdown to FreedomFest '19

Over 250 powerful speakers and actionable workshops

FreedomFest is the only conference where you’ll hear from speakers such as:

Stephen Moore, Senior Economist, Head Economic Advisor to Trump

Stephen Moore is Senior Economic Contributor for FreedomWorks. He formerly wrote on the economy and public policy for The Wall Street Journal and was the Distinguished Visiting Fellow, Project for Economic Growth, at The Heritage Foundation. Moore, who also was a member of The Journal’s editorial board, returned to Heritage in January 2014 — about 25 years after his tenure as the leading conservative think tank’s Grover M. Hermann Fellow in Budgetary Affairs from 1984 to 1987. Moore grew up in New Trier Township, Illinois, and received a bachelor of arts degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He holds a master of arts in economics from George Mason University.

Kevin O’Leary of Shark Tank

Shark Tank’s most sarcastic and no-nonsense commentator identifies the best ways to make money in today’s economy — throwing cold water on some of the most popular notions.

He’ll also be speaking at our special private luncheon on The Inside Story of Shark Tank and the Wild West of Capitalism.  And he’ll be signing copies of his latest book.

John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods

The Whole Foods Market CEO and staunch libertarian always fills the room to capacity.

John will participate in sessions about the ethics of business and capitalism. However, perhaps his most controversial presentation — with Bruce Friedrich of the Good Food Institute — is called Eating Meat is Neither Healthy nor Ethical.

Candace Owens, Director of Communications, Turning Point USA

Candace is the fiery Director of Communications for Turning Point USA and Founder of the “Blexit” (Black Exit) movement, designed to “free” black voters from the decades-long grip of the Democratic Party.

She was in the news recently when she was bullied at a Congressional committee hearing with — no surprise here — an out-of-context 30 second soundbite from one of her talks — specifically excerpted to make her look like a Hitler apologist.

However, Candace fought back against the unscrupulous Congressman and, according to The American Spectator, “incinerated him.”

In addition to her talk, Candace will also be part of a special panel on Uncivil War: Can a Divided America Stand? with National Review columnist John Fund and Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform.

Penn Jillette, liberty loving magician

Penn Jillette on The Magic of Liberty: He’s the speaking half of the world-famous magician duo, Penn & Teller, but also an outspoken libertarian, author, TV personality, myth-buster and author.

It’s Penn’s first ever appearance at FreedomFest, but it’s sure to be one of our most entertaining sessions ever. Bonus: Penn will field questions directly from the FreedomFest attendees.

Rich Lowry, Editor-in-Chief, National Review

Rich Lowry, Editor, National Review, will discuss the latest from the conservative political front.

Craig Huey on Secrets the Deep State Doesn’t Want You to Know

Craig is a frequent guest on Fox News and radio programs nationwide. He’s also the editor of The Huey Report newsletter and author of the new book, The Deep State: 15 Surprising Dangers You Should Know.

Craig will reveal the shocking truths and realities his research has uncovered about the deep state’s devastating influence — and how it’s working behind the scenes to take away your freedom.

Bonus for business owners, political organizations and charities: Craig is also an advertising and marketing expert who has won 86 advertising awards as president of Creative Direct Marketing Group — a California advertising agency.

And he’ll also be speaking on how companies can generate greater profits by bringing in more leads and sales… and how organizations can transform culture and politics by taking advantage of the same advanced strategies and tactics the socialists are using.

Epic Debates to Entertain, Inform and Expand Your Thinking

And then there’s the epic debates — yes we encourage that sort of thing at FreedomFest:

These are real debates, but they’re also friendly because unlike the left, we aren’t afraid to discuss big ideas and hear alternative points of view. No one was ever shouted down or run out of FreedomFest because they didn’t meet our ideological litmus test.

In all we’re hosting five debates that will expose you to new ideas… help you better understand where your ideological opponents are coming from… and make you a better defender of freedom and free enterprise.

The Second Amendment on Trial:

With the rise of mass shootings, is it time to repeal the Second Amendment? Is it relevant, or even prudent, in the 21st century?

To debate these questions we’re adopting a mock trial format. And it will be an epic showdown. Michael Shermer, the editor of Skeptic magazine, will argue that the Second Amendment is dangerous and obsolete. On the other side, defending your right to keep and bear arms, is Antonia Okafor, former Southwest regional director of Students for Concealed Carry.

Trump’s Trade War: Art of the Deal or No Deal at All?:

Two free market economists go head-to-head on the tactics the President is using to expand free trade. Steve Moore will argue that the President is doing what he needs to do — and that it’s working. On the other side is Don Boudreaux, Professor of Economics at George Mason University and proprietor of the popular Café Hayek blog. Dr. Boudreaux will argue that unilateral free trade is a wiser, more effective and morally superior way to achieve free trade.

The Purpose of Business, featuring Kevin O'Leary vs. John Mackey:

According to Mackey, “Business is not just about the money — it has a higher purpose.” However, O’Leary says, “The only purpose for business is to make money.”

The Big Bull and Bear Debate:

Is the stock market headed higher… or poised for a crash? Will the economy keep growing at a rapid pace… or are we in for some tough times ahead?

Taking the bullish side is Louis Navellier, with Peter Schiff, CEO, Euro Pacific Capital, and author of The Real Crash, taking the bearish view.

God or No God:

An epic debate on the existence of God featuring Dr. Hyrum Lewis, arguing for God’s existence, while Skeptic magazine’s Michael Shermer argues against.

These debates — especially the mock trial — are wildly popular FreedomFest events. They’re both entertaining, informative and fun.

Better yet, they’ll force you to consider ideas and arguments on both sides of the issue you may never have thought of before. You can’t help becoming a better defender of your beliefs as a result.

And there’s so much more — only at FreedomFest:

Even with all that, I’ve barely scratched the surface of everything you’ll discover at FreedomFest. You’ll also have the opportunity to attend these sessions:
